Field Day is ham radio's open house. Every June, more than 40,000 hams throughout North America set up temporary transmitting stations in public places to demonstrate ham radio's science, skill and service to our communities and our nation. It combines public service, emergency preparedness, community outreach and technical skills all in a single event. Field Day has been an annual event since 1933, and remains the most popular event in ham radio. You can find more information here.
The WFD-2020 results have been posted and we didn't do to bad! There were only two entries in NV and we came out on top there! Overall, there were 299 entries and we came in at #88. Great job everyone! Lots of fun AND we did well! Here's a link to the complete results.

We all had a great time at the 2019 Field Day and the weather was great! As you can see from our video, we had two nice tall antennas: Craig's HEX Beam antenna and Jerry's Tower. Jon's skills with his bow and arrow got us an antenna way up in the trees. We had digital, CW and 2m/440. Lots of contacts and lots of great food for lunch. The location was so good we'll be using it again in 2020.
