Drivers have four days of activities that ham operators can enjoy. Learn a lot more about the race events over four days, the area, the history and race videos at the Silver State Classic Challenge web site.
New Ham Operators or the Adventurous
If you are a “new ham” and are interested to see what this is about, please call and we can discuss options. For the adventurous there are options to camp near the road and the off road as repeater back-up and contingency comms.
Ham Operators Needed at Checkpoints
Two check points (CP) are currently open for ham operators. Each CP requires two people (at least one a licensed ham).
Equipment Required:
- UHF/VHF Dual band 40+ watt radio
- VHF/UHF antenna(s) and mast to 10 feet
